TRW Engineers, Inc. DBA TSC Engineering Company offers professional engineering, design, and project management expertise to transportation, municipal, land development, MUD creation, commercial, industrial, federal government, and land surveying projects for a wide range of clientele. Since the company’s establishment in 1981, TSC has remained dedicated to maintaining a high standard of professional performance and integrity. Business Unit Organization The company is organized with dedicated Business Unit Managers heading up the company’s primary areas of work: Transportation, Municipal, Commercial/Land Development, and Industrial/Federal Government. Each business unit has dedicated technical and project management specialists who focus on a specific area to provide state-of-the-art professional services. Centralized Engineering and Surveying groups provide support services to all business units. Quality Assurance and Control TSC takes pride in the quality of the services it provides. The company has an effective four-step QA/QC system founded upon the following axioms: (1) clear and early definition of requirements, (2) peer review and checking of all work as it progresses, (3) frequent random sampling and independent review of critical deliverables with formal timely feedback, and (4) Professional Engineer review and signature of all final work products. Cost Estimating Using a combination of parametric and detailed cost estimating techniques, TSC consistently provides reliable cost estimates at all project phases. The company’s process of continuous takeoff and estimate update provides us an early warning to assure designs which consistently fall within construction budget. Change Management The key to controlling change is the early identification of potential change followed by timely decisions for preventing the change or mitigating the impacts of the change. TSC’s Trend System emphasizes early identification of potential deviation from plan joint decisions with the Client for handling potential deviations. Scheduling and Schedule Control The key to successful scheduling and schedule control is to develop a fully integrated project schedule. TSC uses SureTrack to define and time reference major milestones and deliverables. Beyond the major milestone level, multiple additional levels of detail are defined and time/logic referenced as needed to assure clear division of responsibility, an understanding of the time required to complete each task, and an understanding of interdependencies of tasks.
